Direto de Cleveland, Ohio, o THUNDERDUK é mais uma obscuridade setentista daquelas feitas para os garimpeiros dos subterrâneos do rock!! A banda deixou apenas este material, com gravações realizadas entre 1972 e 1974, posteriormente resgatadas pela cultuada Rockadelic Records.

Difícil colocar o som em uma única gaveta. Tem heavy rock, hard psych, progressivo e boas doses de jazz-rock, tudo com aquela sonoridade crua, seca e totalmente underground típica do início dos anos 70.

Destaques para a pesada “Why Don't You Love Me?”, a viajante “Time And Again”, a mais tranquila “Something To Look At” e a longa “Once Again Darkness”, onde o lado progressivo e psicodélico aparece com mais força.

A banda chegou a ter boa presença na cena de clubes de Cleveland, apostando em material próprio, e parte dessas músicas também foi apresentada em transmissões realizadas nos Agency Studios pela rádio WNCR.

Uma raridade americana diferente, nada comercial e difícil de rotular. Exatamente como gostamos por aqui!!

Straight out of Cleveland, Ohio, THUNDERDUK is another obscure seventies gem made for those who love digging deep into the underground of rock!!

The band left behind only this material, recorded between 1972 and 1974, and later rescued from obscurity by the cult Rockadelic Records label.

Their sound is not easy to fit into a single category. There is plenty of heavy rock, hard psych, progressive rock and touches of jazz-rock, all wrapped in that raw, dry and completely underground early-'70s sound.

Highlights include the powerful “Why Don't You Love Me?”, the extended and adventurous “Time And Again”, the mellower “Something To Look At”, and the long “Once Again Darkness”, where the band's progressive and psychedelic side comes through more strongly.

THUNDERDUK became a notable attraction on the Cleveland club scene, concentrating on original material, and several of these songs were also performed during broadcasts recorded at Agency Studios and aired by local radio station WNCR.

An unusual American rarity — uncommercial, raw and difficult to categorize. Exactly the kind of poison we like around here!!
