A BANDA ESTUS FAZIA UM ROCK MEIO GENÉRICO QUE COMBINAVA HARD ROCK, BLUES COM BONS RIFFS DE GUITARRA PESADA E AINDA ALGUMA MELODIAS MAIS TRANQUILAS!! É UMA SONORIDADE UM POUCO MAIS POLIDA SE COMAPARARMOS COM OS ALBUNS DA BANDA DUST!! NÃO DEIXA DE SER UMA CURIOSIDADE PARA OS FÃS DOS RAMONES!!

Sandwiched between his early days with the hard rock band Dust and later punk fame with The Voidoids and Ramones, drummer Marc Bell (aka Marky Ramone) recorded this one-off record with the short-lived Estus. A curiosity piece for big Ramones fans. Nice US 70's Rock/HardRock with strong songs, excellent guitar work (some solos are longer than any Ramones track!!) and nice vocal harmonies, somewhat more polished than both Dust albums, where Marc Bell also played drums.

Sought after LP by record collectors on the Columbia label released in 1973. Produced by Andrew Oldham, the group's recorded this one-off record with the short-lived Estus, self-titled debut comes across as a pretty generic hippie rock record, only occasionally venturing into heavier post-psych hard rock territory and never all that well,sandwiched between his early days with the hard rock band Dust and later punk fame with The Voidoids and Ramones, drummer Marc Bell (aka Marky Ramone) spending much time digging around for a curiosity piece for big Ramones fans, or I guess Dust.

Amigo, saludos afectuosos. Hace tiempo bajé de tu blog el disco del grupo The Fun Of It, pero hasta la semana pasada tuve oportunidad de escucharlo. Resulta que lo que viene no es el grupo Fun of It, si no que es otro el grupo pero no logro descifrar quien es, es un estilo hard basado en el órgano hammond, sabrás de quién se trata? Amigo Juan Manuel, não sei o que aconteceu com essa postagem. Outros tambem falaram a mesma coisa. Acontece que deletei a postagem do blog e não fiquei com os links para saber de que se trata. Esse é um mistério que até hoje não consegui resolver. Talvez no momento de postar eu tenha colocado o link de outra banda ou algo assim. Confesso que não sei o que aconteceu. Me manda o link ou as músicas que tem que se eu não souber de que sem se trata eu colco lá no grupo venenos do rock para o pessoal do grupo descobrir.
